Boxing Day 2009

Little Egypt Maintain The Tradition

(and invent at least one more)

26 December 2009

The Morris Men of Little Egypt are steeped in, among other things, tradition. Seventeen years ago, when the side was re-born, we celebrated Boxing Day in the best pub in the village, with a lively mixture of dancing and singing and general frivolity. And so the side has done ever since, with an occasional change of venue - but always the best pub in the village, and the addition of several extra elements - most noticeably, the Mummers' Play.

2009 saw a continuation of the tradition, culminating in the predictable "Going Ahead" at The Angel. This year's exploits are being spread over six separate pages: read on.
